2016 Lucan Ilderton Minor Rookie Ball
Submitted By Sean Willis on Wednesday, March 30, 2016
Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the 2016 season of Lucan-Ilderton Minor Rookie Ball!

The weather is getting warmer, the minor hockey season is almost done and MLB opening day is a week away.

Our Minor Rookie Ball season will be played on Thursday evenings and begin, weather permitting, Thursday May 19 and run for 10 weeks.

This year we will have 10 teams and, like previous years, be running an in-house league between Lucan and Ilderton using ball diamonds in Lucan, Ilderton, Granton and Denfield on those Thursday evenings.  Rosters for teams and coaches have not yet been assigned.  With that being said, we are holding indoor workouts for our Minor Rookie ballers this year in Lucan at the arena.  These workouts will consist of throwing, catching, fielding and hitting off a tee and likely, off the pitching machine.

With over 80 registrants, we will be dividing kids into groups of approximately 20 - 22 kids per session.  Because of our numbers, we ask that you please only attend the session you have been assigned to.  There are no make up sessions if you are unable to attend your assigned session.  Missing these sessions will not preclude your assignment to a team.

The times and dates of the sessions and the group assignments are done alphabetically with the last name of the registrant and are as follows:

Wednesday April 27 @ 6 7:15pm

Ardiel - Damen

Wednesday April 27 @ 7:15 - 8:30pm

Dewan - Hardy

Thursday April 28 @ 6 - 7:15pm

Hare - Phillips

Thursday April 28 @ 7:15 - 8:30pm

Potter - Westman

One last item.  I encourage all of you to familiarize yourself with the Lucan-Ilderton baseball website.  It functions very much the same as our minor hockey sites and is one of our main means of communication to our participants.  Our website can be found at:

Thanks and we are looking forward to another great season of Lucan-Ilderton baseball.
