2021 Season Registration - NOW OPEN
We are happy to announce that registration for
the 2021 season (and houseleague coach applications) will be opening soon (on
or about February 10). Registrations
must be received by
end of day February 28 (some age groups may close sooner if
capacity is reached). Registrations
received after February 28th will be handled on a best-efforts basis.
This season payment is not required at the time of initial registration. Further details on the deadline and methods of payment for registration will be provided in the coming weeks.
We chose to delay the opening of registration waiting to see what the season projection would look like given the on-going pandemic issues. At this point we know the following:
- the Ontario Baseball Association and the London District Baseball Association are both very confident that baseball will be played this summer, even if we are still dealing with the lingering effects of the Coronavirus
- the OBA established "Return to Play Protocols" last summer. Although our association's season was cut short, a few associations did return to practice and play games last July and August. We expect that play for the 2021 season will have to follow these protocols at least to start the season.
- the plan is for the houseleagues, LDBA regular season and tournament play to start in June. The Ontario Championships are scheduled for the Labour Day weekend.Tryouts for Rep teams will be planned for April
We plan to field Rep teams at every age group (2 where we are able) so it is important that we have an understanding of who is interested in trying our for Rep teams. When registering please indicate if your child is interested in Rep play. Registration for tryouts will be posted in March but in order to be eligible to tryout for a Rep team a player must be registered with our association before the February 28 deadline.
Additional information will follow but if you have any questions feel free to contact a member of the executive.
