Pewee Select - Cody Gubbels Tournament Champs
Our Lucan-Ilderton Pewee Select Athletics (A’s) took to the
fields of Komoka for the Cody Gubbels Memorial Baseball Tournament over the weekend
of May 31, 2019 . The A’s played with their hearts all weekend long - going
undefeated and coming out as proud tournament champions!
Early Sunday morning, before the A’s first game of the day, the team gathered together on the cool damp grass in deep right field to reflect on the inspirational memory of Cody Gubbels- learning the true meaning behind the tournament. The entire team agreed to give everything they had for Cody and they didn’t disappoint. Special thanks to the tournament organizers and a very special thanks to the DKMB Pewee’s for an extremely fun and intense seven inning championship game. “CONGRATULATIONS A’s”
