U14 Softball Canada National Championships 2018
Brief Intro: Our Roster this season included 11 multi-talented athletes hailing from, Poplar Hill, Ilderton, Lucan, Strathroy, Ailsa Craig and Glencoe. Seven of them are, competitive hockey players (BlueWater, London Devilettes, Petrolia), one competitive figure skater (Ilderton Skating Club), one competitive volleyball player (Forest City Volleyball Club) one competitive basketball player (Strathroy Spirit) and one National Spelling Bee Finalist. These multi sport, small town girls not only caught the attention of many with their unique ‘Wheat Field photo’, they also turned heads with their ability to compete on the regular ball field with all the larger centres who train together all year round. We also train all year round. In the winter we train together on the ice. In the summer we train together on the field, usually clay, but sometimes wheat.
